Apartment Review for Hampton Court - New York, NY

My husband & I moved here in Feb 2007. We had been living around 87 & 1st but had to move - our old apartment was awful and the management were rediculously unhelpful at all times.

Thankfully we found Hampton Court which is part of the Glenwood Management properties. Go check them out at www.glenwoodnyc.com. So, the building itself is on 102nd between 1st & 2nd, which isn't the most fabulous address, but trust me, as a girl - I feel safe. The building staff also do all they can to ensure safety too. There is a shuttle bus (this is what sold me on moving here!!) that runs EVERY DAY. On week days I think it starts at 7am till 9pm, running every 30 mins, to 86th & Lex, but at peak hrs every 20 mins. On w/ends it runs every 30 mins.

Also, the front desk guys will call you a car if you need one.

ANYWAY the building itself is gorgoeus and only 2 yrs old (I think). Great gym, kids play room, garage, laundry. When we moved in our apartment was SPOTLESS, fresh paint, marble counter tops in the kitchen & bathrooms, modern oven/dishwasher etc, beautiful light in the apartment, spacious, lots of cupboards. There is a roof deck for summer sunbathing - they put out chairs. The hallways to the elevators are clean and look more like a hotel hallway. The lobby is clean and lovely. The gardens surrounding the buikding are also lovely. The building also paid to have the trees and flowers on the entire street done - even the ones across the road!!

The staff are very friendly & helpful. If we have any issues, they come and fix/attend to it straight away. Far cry from the management at our old building who left us with a huge hole in the wall where they didn't replace an a/c unit for 3 MONTHS!!

We really love it at Hampton Court - I wish we had known of it earlier. We wish they had apartments to buy!!!
