Apartment Review for New Gotham - New York, NY

Doormen, super, and onsite maintenance staff are great, but even they are not happy with management. Once we were notified by ConEd that they owed thousands and that power could be shut off. The state of the laundry rooms is atrocious. I, too, have had clothes stolen from there. And who closes at 10 AM. I thought that's the point of having an on-site laundry. Do it when you need to. The best way I can describe management is neglectful. They do barely what they need to to keep the building rentable. I think they put all their money into the appearance, and cut costs on elevator repair, laundry & gym maintenance. Don't bother w'the outdoor community terrace: there's plenty of construction going on next to it and part of the terrace is fenced off. Not particularly relaxing. Very convenient location. Sound between apartments is minimal. Not sure they really value their tenants, though. But it's New York. What else do you expect?
