Apartment Review for The Windermere - New York, NY

I've lived there for 4 years and the building has deteriorated significantly. They are now in the midst of construction, and it will continue for 2+ more years. The elevators get stuck regularly (my friend got stuck in one), and the laundry machines never work properly. They are sneaky and show empty apartments only at night so that you can't tell that no light comes through and the significant amount of noise the constuction makes during the day. And now that it's hot again, they won't install air conditioners into the windows until June 1 (!!!!) because of the contruction/scaffolding. Don't let the inexpensive rent fool you--it's not worth the hassle and aggrevation. Also, the doormen are not doormen, they are deskmen and don't do anything for you, including smile and greet you.
